Mission Statement
Cretin-Derham Hall is a Catholic, co-educational high school, co-sponsored by the Brothers of the Christian Schools and the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, committed to Christian values and academic excellence in grades nine through twelve. We will educate young men and women of diverse abilities, cultures and socio-economic backgrounds for opportunities in post-secondary education.

• Cretin-Derham Hall offers 196 different courses, including honors, advanced and college prep, as well as several interdisciplinary courses. Courses are designed for students of varying abilities, learning styles and interests.
• CDH offers nine Advanced Placement (AP) courses, an Accelerated Science Program, six Program for Advanced College Credit (PACC) courses, two College in the Schools (CIS) courses and an Academic Support Program.
• 96% of students take four years of math.

• In 2011, nearly 70% of those taking AP tests earned college credit. Composite ACT test scores for CDH students were 2.3 points higher than the state average and 4.2 points higher than the national average. Ninety-five percent of our students take the ACT Test, and 96% attend post-secondary institutions.
• In 2011, CDH also had the unique distinction of sending a student to all five United States Service Academies.
• Nearly 70% of the students in the Class of 2011 earned meritorious scholarships totaling more than $2 million dollars.
Campus Life
Cretin-Derham Hall offers more than forty student clubs, many intramural activities and teams, as well as a broad range of sports. CDH is located on a large campus in a residential area of St. Paul. The original building, a landmark in St. Paul since 1929, has been enhanced over the years with the addition of a Fine Arts building, a Field House with three full size basketball courts, a 10,000 sq. ft. fitness center, band room and upgraded athletic fields. Special features include modern science/lab classrooms, a state-of-the-art media production facility, a renovated theater and chapel, and a Career Center. There is one computer lab, plus several computer accessibility areas throughout the school, 11 mobile lab top carts (Macintosh and Apple), and 70+ classrooms that are equipped with LCD protector screens, along with a campus-wide wireless network. The entire school is handicap accessible.
